What is RentHive?+

Software for running your own car-rental business: a booking website with checkout, payments into your own Stripe account, renters ID-checked, insurance-checked and signed before pickup, and your calendar, inbox, fleet and team in one place. It's built for Turo hosts who want direct bookings and for independent rental companies.

Do I have to leave Turo?+

No. Keep hosting on Turo and run your own business beside it, with bookings from your own customers on your own website. Your calendar syncs with Turo, so your Turo trips appear on your RentHive calendar and block those dates on your website. RentHive doesn't post to Turo or change your Turo calendar, so block dates you book direct on Turo yourself.

How do payments work? Do you take a commission?+

Renters pay by card straight into your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect. RentHive takes 0% commission; you pay only Stripe's normal processing fees, on your own account. You can also send payment links, charge a saved card, record cash, and hold a security deposit on the renter's card.

What does RentHive cost?+

Starter is $99/month for up to 10 vehicles, Growth is $199/month for up to 50, and Enterprise is custom for larger fleets. Every plan includes every feature, and yearly billing gives you 2 months free. Stripe fees, Stripe Identity checks and Smartcar are billed by those providers, and insurance checks are 5 free, then $2 each.

How are renters verified?+

ID checks run through Stripe Identity (a photo of the driver's license plus a selfie) on your own Stripe account. For insurance, the renter links their own insurer through Canopy Connect, then signs your rental agreement online. If an automatic check fails, the renter enters the details and photographs the document, and you're flagged to review it.

How long does setup take?+

Plan on about a day to set everything up properly: vehicles, photos and pricing, Stripe, your policies and your rental agreement. Your booking website can be live on a free address the same day, and you can connect your own domain whenever you're ready.

Do I need a website already?+

No. RentHive gives you a booking website from one of three templates, live on a free yourname.sites.renthive.co address with SSL. If you already have a site, connect your own domain or add the RentHive booking widget to it.

What happens after the free trial?+

The trial lasts 7 days and you don't need a credit card to start. When it ends nothing is locked or deleted; you pick a plan in Settings → Billing to carry on. Pay monthly or yearly and cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
